MIAT Mongolian Airlines
MIAT Mongolian Airlines is the national flag carrier of Mongolia,
headquartered in Ulaanbaatar with its primary hub at
Chinggis Khaan
International Airport.
Established in 1956, the airline began as a domestic
operator before expanding into scheduled international services across Asia
and Europe. Today, MIAT plays an important role in connecting Mongolia with
major business, tourism, and transit markets while supporting the country's
international aviation network.
The airline operates scheduled passenger and cargo services using a modern
fleet of Boeing aircraft. Its international network includes destinations
such as Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok,
Istanbul, Frankfurt, and selected seasonal destinations. Through codeshare
partnerships with several international airlines, passengers can continue
their journeys to additional cities beyond the airline's own network using a
single itinerary.

MIAT Mongolian Airlines has progressively modernized its operations by introducing Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft for long-haul routes alongside Boeing 737 Next Generation and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for regional services. The fleet renewal programme has improved fuel efficiency, passenger comfort, and operational capability.
The airline offers two travel classes on most international flights,
consisting of Business Class and Economy Class. Passengers may access online
booking, web check-in, advance seat selection, baggage services, and special
assistance through the airline's reservation system.
As of April 2026, MIAT Mongolian Airlines serves more than 15 scheduled
international destinations across Asia and Europe, together with domestic
services within Mongolia and additional destinations available through
codeshare agreements with partner airlines.
