Originally called Mosquito Inlet Light, the lighthouse at Ponce de Leon Inlet, at 175 feet in height, is the tallest lighthouse in Florida and the one of the tallest in the United States.

Getting There

If you're driving from Daytona Beach, take South Atlantic Avenue (A1A) south to Ponce Inlet. Once you reach the roundabout, take the first exit onto South Peninsula Drive, and continue for about 2.5 miles. The lighthouse will be on your left.

If you're taking public transportation, you can take the Votran bus route 19 from Daytona Beach to Ponce Inlet. Get off at the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse stop, and then walk about 0.2 miles south on South Peninsula Drive to reach the lighthouse.
