A 110-foot (34 m) high obelisk with allegorical sculptures at its base stands as a monument to Miami pioneer Henry M. Flagler. It was constructed in the center of an artificial island in memory of Flagler, who died in 1913.

Getting There

By car: Take the I-95 to exit 70, Okeechobee Boulevard, and head east. Turn right onto Flagler Drive and continue south for about a mile. The monument will be on your left.

By public transportation: Take the Tri-Rail commuter train to the West Palm Beach station. From there, take the Palm Tran bus Route 1 southbound towards Boca Raton and get off at the Flagler Memorial Bridge stop. The monument is a short walk from the stop.
