This 335-acre 19th century African-themed park opened on March 31, 1959 as a beer garden for the Tampa Anheuser-Busch brewery. The park is also an operating zoo with many animal attractions.

Getting There

You can get to Busch Gardens Tampa by car or by taking a combination of public transportation and shuttle services.

By car: Busch Gardens Tampa is located at 10165 N McKinley Drive, Tampa, FL 33612. If you're driving, you can take I-275 or I-4 and follow the signs for Busch Gardens.

By public transportation and shuttle services: If you're coming from Tampa, you can take the HART bus route 30 or 36 to the University Area Transit Center (UATC), and then take the Busch Gardens shuttle from the UATC to the park.

Alternatively, you can take the TECO Line Streetcar System to Whiting Station in downtown Tampa, and then take the Busch Gardens shuttle from there to the park. Shuttles are also available from select hotels in the area.
