Adventure Island's 30 acres contains a blend of water rides, outdoor cafes, picnic and sunbathing areas, gift shops, and a championship white-sand volleyball complex set within a Key West atmosphere.

Adventure Island is part of Busch Entertainment Corporation, the family entertainment division of Anheuser-Busch, which also operates Busch Gardens Africa.

The park opened on June 7, 1980.

Getting There

If you are traveling by car from downtown Tampa, take I-275 North and exit at Busch Boulevard East. Turn right onto McKinley Drive and continue straight until you reach Adventure Island on your left. The drive should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.

If you prefer to take public transportation, you can take the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit (HART) bus #6 which stops near the park entrance. Alternatively, you can take the HART Flex Service which provides door-to-door service in the Tampa Bay area.

There is no direct train service to Adventure Island.
