Denver International Airport

Denver International Airport (IATA: DEN, ICAO: KDEN, FAA LID: DEN), also
commonly known as DIA, is an international airport in Denver, Colorado, United
States. At 33,531 acres (52.4 sq mi), it is the largest airport in the United
States by total land area.
Located approximately 25 miles northeast of downtown Denver, DEN is a major hub
for several airlines, including
United Airlines,
Southwest Airlines,
and Frontier
Airlines. In addition, the airport is served by many international carriers,
such as Lufthansa,
British Airways,
and Air Canada.
Facilities at DEN include three concourses with a total of 129 gates, a wide
variety of dining and shopping options, as well as multiple lounges for
travelers to relax in. The airport also features several art installations,
including a 32-foot-tall statue of a blue mustang with glowing red eyes that has
become a recognizable landmark of the airport.
Transportation options to and from DEN include the airport's own train service,
the University of Colorado A Line, which runs between the airport and downtown
Denver's Union Station. The train operates every 15 minutes during peak hours
and every 30 minutes during off-peak times. Additionally, several public bus
routes also serve the airport, as well as multiple ride-sharing services and
taxi companies. For those driving to the airport, there are several parking
options available, including both covered and uncovered parking, valet parking,
and economy parking.
