Passengers who misplace personal belongings during travel with XiamenAir may seek assistance through the airline or airport authorities depending on where the item was lost.
Items Left Onboard
Articles discovered inside the aircraft after arrival are collected by cabin
crew and ground service personnel. Recovered property is recorded and
transferred to designated storage facilities for identification and safekeeping.
Items Lost Within Airport Facilities
Property misplaced in terminal buildings, security checkpoints, lounges,
boarding gates, immigration areas, or baggage halls falls under the
responsibility of the airport operator. Passengers should contact the airport's
lost property department directly.
Missing Checked Baggage
Passengers who cannot locate checked baggage upon arrival must report the issue
immediately at the baggage service office before leaving the airport. Staff will
create a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) and initiate baggage tracing
procedures.
Delayed baggage may be located through international baggage tracking systems
used by participating airlines and ground handling providers.

Passengers should provide:

• Travel date
• Baggage tag number
• Description of the item
• Contact details
Recovery Process
When property is located, passengers may be contacted by the airline or handling
agent. Identification and proof of ownership may be required before release of
the item.

medications, and personal identification in cabin baggage rather than checked
luggage.
