Rwanda Transit Visa

A visa is not required to transit through Rwanda providing that they do not intend to leave the international transit area.

Transit Visa is valid for maximum of 72 hours or less and is needed if you are just passing through the country by leaving the airport transit area. Applicants are required to have a confirmed onward booking from Rwanda to a third country or other acceptable plans to depart Rwanda within 72 hours of arrival and must have correct documentation for entry to that third country.

Transit Visa may only be extended in exceptional circumstances. In such exceptional circumstances a new transit visa will be issued for up to a further 72 hours.
