A visa is not required to transit through Iran providing that they do not
intend to leave the international transit area. The only exception is citizens
of Israel.
A Transit Visa is required by foreign nationals who intend to pass through Iran
on their way to a third country if they plan to leave the airport's
international transit area.
All foreign visitors require a visa to enter Iran except citizens of the
following countries: Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Former Yugoslav Republic of
Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovenia and Turkey. Citizens of these
countries can stay for up to 3 months without a visa.
