A visa is not required to transit through Georgia providing that they do not intend to leave the international transit area. In all these cases, you enter the Schengen Area, and, unless you are exempt from short-stay visa requirements, you must apply in advance for an entry and stay visa in order to transit through Georgia.

Certain nationalities are subject to visa requirements to transit through an airport in Georgia (Airport Transit Visa or ATV).

A Transit Visa shall be issued for transiting the territory of Georgia (five days) in order to enter a third country.
