A visa is not required to transit through Estonia providing that they do not intend to leave the international transit area.

You can apply for the Estonian Schengen Visa since 2007 when Estonia as an European Union Member State also became a member state of the Schengen Area.

An airport transit visa (type A) is for transiting through the international transit areas of airports in the Schengen Area, but not for entering the territory of a Schengen state. Whether you require a Schengen airport transit visa depends on your nationality.

Normally, citizens of the following countries are obliged to obtain a Transit Visa when passing through the international transit area of any Schengen country airport:

5.Ethiopia
6.Ghana
7.Iran (Note: Holders of Diplomatic and Service passports are exempted from the ATV requirement)

12.Sri Lanka
13.Turkey
