Altria Theater
This 3,565 seat theater, to the west of downtown Richmond, was originally the
Acca Temple Shrine for the Shriner's. It has the largest proscenium stage on the
East Coast and also has a large ballroom.
Formerly known as "The Mosque", the theater was renamed "Landmark" because it
was one of the best known buildings in Richmond.
The Landmark was constructed in 1926 to be used by the Shriners as the Acca
Temple Shrine.
The theater has a seating capacity of 3,565 persons.
The building also has a 18,000 square feet ballroom that can hold 1,100 people.
According to Richmond's Department of Parks, Recration and Community Facilities,
the Landmark Theater has the largest proscenium stage on the East Coast.

Getting There
The theater is accessible by public transportation, with several bus stops
located within walking distance of the venue. The closest bus stop is the Laurel
and Main stop, which is served by the GRTC bus line. Additionally, the Greater
Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) operates a free shuttle service, known as the
RVA Trolley, which stops near the Altria Theater and provides transportation to
other popular destinations in the downtown Richmond area.
