Aztec Theater

Built in 1926, the Aztec Theater is a exotic-themed movie palace. It is
decorated with vibrantly-colored columns, sculptures, furnishings and murals,
many of which are authentic reproductions of Meso-American artifacts.

The Aztec Theater is located in the heart of downtown San Antonio, Texas.
There are several public transportation options available to reach the Aztec
Theater. The VIA Metropolitan Transit system operates a number of bus routes
that serve the downtown area, including the 7, 10, 14, 24, 25, 26, 28, 34, 40,
and 301 routes. Additionally, the VIA Metropolitan Transit also operates a
streetcar system known as VIA VIVA that serves the downtown area, including the
VIVA Culture route that stops near the Aztec Theater. The nearest VIA VIVA stop
is the Centro Plaza on N St Mary's Street.
There is also a San Antonio Bike Share station located near the Aztec Theater,
which offers a convenient way to get around downtown San Antonio.
