Completed in 1969, this is the fourth building to house the nation's first mint. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the minting process, see the original coining press used in 1792 and purchase commemorative coins in the gift shop.

Getting There

The United States Mint in Philadelphia can be accessed by public transportation via the Market-Frankford Line of the SEPTA subway system. The closest subway station to the Mint is the 5th Street Station, which is served by both the Market-Frankford Line and the Broad Street Line. From there, it's just a short walk to the Mint.
