Free Library of Philadelphia (Central Library)

The Central Branch of the Free Library is one of two buildings that are replicas
of those in the Place de la Concorde in Paris. This was done in part to help
establish the Benjamin Franklin Parkway as Philadelphia's Champ Elysees.
The Free Library of Philadelphia opened for business at its current location on
June 2, 1927.
The Free Library has a stuffed raven named Grip, which was owned by Charles
Dickens.
