The Harbor Tunnel in Baltimore is a vehicular tunnel that connects two sides of the city under the Patapsco River.

The 1.4-mile, four-lane tunnel handled its first vehicles in November 1957. Today, traffic at the Harbor Tunnel totals nearly 23.6-million vehicles.

Getting There

There is no public transportation available to cross the tunnel. However, several bus routes, operated by the Maryland Transit Administration, go through the tunnel and stop at various points on either side.
