Mardi Gras World
Mardi Gras World (also known as Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World, MGW) is a
tourist attraction. Guests tour the working warehouse where floats are made for
Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans.
In 1984, Mardi Gras World was created as a tourist attraction to show visitors a
behind-the-scenes look at float building.
The events venue at Mardi Gras World, the River City Complex, hosts festivals,
weddings, private parties and corporate events.

Getting There
Mardi Gras World is accessible by public transportation. The Canal St. ferry
terminal is nearby, and from there, you can take the Algiers/Canal Street Ferry
across the Mississippi River. Once you arrive at the Algiers ferry terminal, you
can take the RTA bus line 114 to Mardi Gras World. Alternatively, you can take
the St. Charles streetcar line to Canal Street, and then transfer to the RTA bus
line 114.
