Chase County Kansas Courthouse
The courthouse was completed in 1873, making it the oldest courthouse still in
use west of the Mississippi River. It is also the state's finest remaining
example of Second Empire architecture.

Getting There
There is no public transportation available in Cottonwood Falls, but you can
reach the city by car.
If you're driving from the west, take the I-35 S and exit at the Emporia (US-50
E) exit. Then take US-50 E to Cottonwood Falls. If you're driving from the east,
take the I-35 N and exit at the US-50 W exit. Then take US-50 W to Cottonwood
Falls.
Once you reach Cottonwood Falls, the Chase County Courthouse is located in the
town square.
