Byodo-In Temple

The Byodo-In Temple is a non-denominational temple located on the island of
O'ahu in Hawai'i at the Valley of the Temples. It was dedicated in August 1968
to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to
Hawaii.
The temple is a replica of a 900-year-old Buddhist temple at Uji in Kyoto
prefecture of Japan.
The Byodo-In Temple is visited and used by thousands of worshipers from around
the world. It welcomes people of all faiths to participate in its traditions.
Apart from worship, the temple grounds are also used for weddings and office
meetings.

Getting There
Byodo-In Temple is located at 47-200 Kahekili Highway in Kaneohe, on the eastern
side of the island of Oahu in Hawaii, USA.
If you're coming from Waikiki, you can take the H-1 Freeway and then the
Likelike Highway, which will lead you to the Kahekili Highway. Alternatively,
you can take the Pali Highway, which offers scenic views but can be winding and
slow. The temple is approximately a 30-minute drive from Waikiki.
If you prefer public transportation, you can take TheBus #55 from Waikiki to the
Kaneohe Transit Center, and then transfer to TheBus #56, which stops right in
front of the temple. However, please note that taking public transportation can
be time-consuming and may not be the most convenient option.
