S P Crater
S P Crater is located in northern Arizona, in the southwestern United States. It
is a cinder cone volcano. The base of the cone is 3,900 feet (1,200 m) across
and 820 feet (250 m) tall. It has a lava flow that extends for four miles to the
north.

Getting There
Here are some ways to get there depending on your starting location:
If you are coming from Flagstaff, take US-89 northbound until you reach US-180.
Turn left onto US-180, and continue until you reach CR-545. Turn left onto
CR-545 and follow the road until you reach the parking area for S P Crater.
If you are coming from Phoenix, take I-17 northbound until you reach Flagstaff.
From Flagstaff, take US-89 northbound until you reach US-180. Turn left onto
US-180, and continue until you reach CR-545. Turn left onto CR-545 and follow
the road until you reach the parking area for S P Crater.
If you are coming from Las Vegas, take US-93 southbound until you reach I-40.
Take I-40 eastbound until you reach Exit 178 for CR-230. Follow CR-230 until you
reach CR-231. Turn left onto CR-231 and continue until you reach CR-545. Turn
left onto CR-545 and follow the road until you reach the parking area for S P
Crater.
