St. Paul the Apostle Airport (IATA: OHD), also known as Ohrid Airport, serves
the city of Ohrid in southwestern North Macedonia. Located approximately 9
kilometers from the city center, the airport is the country’s second
international gateway after Skopje and primarily supports tourism to the
UNESCO-listed Ohrid region.
The airport features a single terminal with modern but compact facilities.
Passengers can access basic services including check-in counters, passport
control, baggage claim, and customs. Amenities include a duty-free shop, café,
currency exchange, and car rental services. Though relatively small, the
terminal is clean and efficient, offering a smooth experience for regional
travelers.
St. Paul the Apostle Airport is mainly served by seasonal and charter airlines
that connect Ohrid with destinations across Europe, particularly in the summer.
Airlines operating here may include
Wizz Air,
Turkish Airlines, and TUI, offering links to countries such as Switzerland,
Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
Public transportation options from the airport are limited. However, taxis are
readily available outside the terminal, and some hotels offer shuttle transfers.
