Shymkent Airport (IATA: CIT, ICAO: UAII) is an international airport serving Shymkent, the third-largest city in Kazakhstan. It is located approximately 10 kilometres northwest of the city centre and functions as the primary aviation gateway for southern Kazakhstan. The airport supports scheduled domestic and international passenger flights together with cargo operations. It also serves as the main operating hub of SCAT Airlines, one of Kazakhstan's largest carriers.
