Karlovy Vary Airport

Karlovy Vary Airport (KLV), located about 6 km southeast of the spa town of
Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic, is a small regional airport serving the
western part of the country. Opened in 1929, it primarily caters to charter and
seasonal flights, as well as business aviation. The airport offers basic
facilities including a small duty-free shop, a café, car rental services, and
free Wi-Fi in the terminal.
While Karlovy Vary Airport previously handled regular flights to Moscow and
other Russian cities, its operations have shifted more toward charter services,
especially during the summer tourist season. The airport remains a popular entry
point for travelers visiting the region’s famous spas.
Public transportation options include taxis, which are available at the airport,
and a local bus service that connects the airport with Karlovy Vary’s city
center. For those driving, the airport is easily accessible via the D6 motorway,
and there are parking facilities available for short-term and long-term stays.
The airport’s proximity to major spa towns makes it a convenient choice for
tourists looking for a quieter, regional entry point to the Czech Republic.
