Brno-Tuřany Airport

Brno-Tuřany Airport (BRQ), located about 7.5 km southeast of Brno in the Czech
Republic, is the second-largest airport in the country. It primarily serves the
South Moravian region and is a popular gateway for tourists and business
travelers. The airport opened in 1954 and has been gradually modernized to meet
contemporary passenger needs. Facilities at Brno-Tuřany Airport include
duty-free shopping, a small selection of cafes and restaurants, car rental
services, and free Wi-Fi throughout the terminal.
The airport hosts both domestic and international flights, with
Ryanair being a primary
airline offering low-cost flights to destinations across Europe. Seasonal
charter flights to popular vacation spots, especially in Southern Europe, are
also common, operated by airlines such as Smartwings.
Public transportation options include bus services that connect the airport to
Brno’s city center and the main train station. Taxis are available outside the
terminal, and parking facilities are provided for short-term and long-term
stays. The airport's proximity to major highways makes it easily accessible for
those driving to or from Brno and other nearby cities. Brno-Tuřany Airport
offers a convenient, smaller-scale alternative to the larger Václav Havel
Airport in Prague.
