Ercan International Airport (ECN), located near Nicosia in Northern Cyprus, is 
the main airport serving the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Opened in 
1975, the airport offers a range of facilities, including duty-free shops, 
cafes, restaurants, and lounges for both domestic and international passengers. 
There are also currency exchange services, car rental agencies, and a VIP lounge 
available.
Ercan International Airport primarily operates flights to and from Turkey, as 
direct international flights are not recognized due to political circumstances. 
Turkish carriers such as 
Turkish Airlines, 
Pegasus Airlines, and
AJet 
operate frequent flights to major Turkish cities like Istanbul, Ankara, and 
Izmir, from where passengers can connect to other international destinations.
Public transportation options include taxis, which are readily available outside 
the terminal. Additionally, several shuttle and private transport services 
operate between the airport and various cities in Northern Cyprus, including 
Nicosia, Kyrenia, and Famagusta. For those driving, the airport is easily 
accessible via the main highways, and there are parking facilities for both 
short-term and long-term parking.
