Namibe Airport

Namibe Airport (MSZ), also known as Yuri Gagarin Airport, serves the coastal
city of Namibe in southwestern Angola. It plays a significant role in connecting
Namibe Province to other parts of the country, particularly Luanda.
Namibe Airport is a small yet functional facility designed to cater to domestic
passengers. The terminal provides essential services such as check-in counters,
baggage claim, and a waiting area. Amenities are modest, with a basic snack bar,
restrooms, and a small shop for essentials. Although there are no extensive
dining or retail options, the airport’s layout is straightforward, and
facilities are generally clean and well-maintained. There is no dedicated
lounge, but seating areas offer adequate comfort for short waits.
TAAG Angola
Airlines operates regular flights between Namibe and Luanda, Angola's
capital. These flights provide a vital link for residents, businesses, and
tourists, with convenient access to the country's main transportation hub.
Transportation options from Namibe Airport include taxis and private cars. Taxis
are available just outside the terminal and provide service to the city center
and nearby areas. While there is no official public bus route, many local hotels
offer shuttle services on request. The airport is around 6 kilometers from
Namibe’s city center, making it easily accessible by road.
