Flydubai Unaccompanied Minors Policy

AirlinesHQ.com  »  Airlines in UAE  »  Flydubai  »  Unaccompanied Minors Policy

Flydubai does not provide a dedicated Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service, and its policy is stricter compared to many full-service airlines. Here are the key details:

Eligibility Rules

Children under 12 years of age are not permitted to travel alone on flydubai flights. They must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is at least 16 years old throughout the journey.

Passengers aged 12 years and above are allowed to travel independently, provided they meet all visa, passport, and entry requirements for their destination.

Supervision Policy

Since flydubai does not offer an escort or supervision service for minors, the airline places full responsibility on accompanying adults or the passenger themselves if aged 12 or above.

Check-in Requirements

Children under 12 must be booked and checked in with an accompanying adult on the same reservation. Solo travelers aged 12–17 must complete airport check-in procedures rather than relying on online check-in.

Additional Information

Parents or guardians should ensure that minors traveling alone (12+) carry all required documentation, including consent letters if needed by immigration authorities. flydubai does not provide special handling, priority boarding, or monitoring services for unaccompanied young travelers.
