STARLUX Airlines Unaccompanied Minors Policy

AirlinesHQ.com  »  Airlines in Taiwan  »  STARLUX Airlines  »  Unaccompanied Minors Policy

Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be Unaccompanied Minors. If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or her safety.

Eligibility

Children aged 5 to 12 years traveling alone are required to use STARLUX’s Unaccompanied Minor Service (UM Service).

Passengers aged 12 to 18 years may request the service optionally (if parents prefer).

Booking the Service

UM service must be requested at the time of booking or added later — but always at least 48 hours before departure.

Certain flights or connections may have restrictions, so early arrangement is recommended.

Check-in & Documentation

The parent or guardian must remain at the airport until the flight departs.

Proper identification and contact information of the pickup person at the destination are required during check-in.

STARLUX staff will supervise the child through security, boarding, and handover.

In-Flight Care

Cabin crew will monitor and assist the unaccompanied minor during the flight.

The child will be seated in a location where the crew can provide extra attention.

Arrival & Pickup

At the destination, the child will only be released to the pre-registered adult upon presenting valid ID.

Guardians should arrive at the airport before the aircraft lands.

These policies may differ, however, so you should check with STARLUX Airlines for a description of its rules and services and any additional charges that may apply.
