Myanmar Airways provides an Unaccompanied Minors (UM) service to ensure the safety and comfort of children traveling alone. This service is designed for young passengers who are not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout their journey.

The Unaccompanied Minors service is mandatory for children aged 5 to 11 years traveling alone. Children under 5 years of age are not permitted to travel without an accompanying adult. For children aged 12 to 15 years, the service is optional but strongly recommended for added supervision and peace of mind.

When using the UM service, the child will be assisted by trained airline staff during check-in, boarding, in-flight, transit (if applicable), and upon arrival. A designated parent, guardian, or authorized adult must remain at the departure airport until the flight has departed and must be available to receive the child at the destination.

Advance arrangements are required, and all necessary documentation, contact details, and service fees must be completed prior to travel. Certain routes, flight types, or connections may have restrictions.
