Volaris provides specific guidelines and services for unaccompanied minors to ensure their safety and comfort during travel:

Age Requirements
• 5 to 11 Years Old: Mandatory use of the unaccompanied minor service.
• 12 to 17 Years Old: Optional service for those who wish to use it.
Booking Process
Reservations for unaccompanied minors must be made through the Volaris call
center or at the airport. It cannot be completed online.
Check-in Procedure
Required Documents: The unaccompanied minor must have valid identification, and
the parent or guardian must complete a special form providing details of the
child and the person authorized to pick them up at the destination.
Arrival Time: Arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure for
domestic flights and 3 hours before for international flights.
Check-in Counter: The child must be checked in at the airport counter where all
necessary documentation will be verified.
In-flight and Arrival
In-flight: The cabin crew will supervise the unaccompanied minor throughout the
flight, ensuring they are comfortable and safe.
Arrival: Upon arrival, the child will be escorted off the plane and handed over
to the designated person at the destination. The person picking up the child
must present valid identification and match the details provided on the special
form.
Fees
A service fee is applicable for unaccompanied minors, which varies based on the
route.
