Maldivian Unaccompanied Minors Policy
Maldivian Airlines has specific policies in place to ensure the safety and comfort of unaccompanied minors traveling alone.
Here are the key details of their unaccompanied minors policy:
Eligibility
Age Requirement: Unaccompanied minor services are available for children aged 5
to 11 years. Children under 5 years are not permitted to travel alone and must
be accompanied by an adult.
Children aged 12-15 years can travel alone without the unaccompanied minor
service but may opt for assistance if desired.
Booking the Service
The unaccompanied minor service must be requested at the time of booking or at
least 48 hours before the flight.
A responsible adult must complete a special form at the airport and remain until
the flight's departure.
At the Airport
Unaccompanied minors will be escorted by airline staff through the check-in
process, security, boarding, and upon arrival.
The airline ensures that the child is handed over to the designated adult at the
destination.
Additional Information
Parents or guardians are advised to arrive at the airport early to complete all
necessary documentation and ensure a smooth process for their child’s travel.
