Passengers traveling with Malaysia Airlines are entitled to baggage allowance
depending on the respective flight fare class.

Carry-on Baggage
To ensure that the cabin overhead compartments are not excessively full and for
the safety, comfort and convenience of everyone on board, please ensure that you
comply with Malaysia Airlines cabin baggage set of rules and allowances as
stated below:

NOTE
*The above applies to all bookings made from 08 April 2019 onwards. For bookings
made prior to this date, the free baggage allowance as per passengers’ tickets
will be honoured.
**For Medina & Jeddah, Economy Class Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) is 30kgs
across all Economy Fare families/brands.
Passengers traveling with Malaysia Airlines can check-in as many pieces of
baggage as they need, as long as the total weight does not exceed the maximum
baggage allowed for their cabin class. Apart from the FBA given, passengers are
also entitled to a Cabin Baggage Allowance. Cabin baggage is baggage that is
carried and stowed by passengers themselves within the aircraft cabin, in the
overhead stowage bin. Please note that this baggage is within the control, care
and custody of passengers at all times throughout the flight.
In addition to cabin baggage, passengers may also carry the following Additional
Items onboard for free of charge subject to terms and conditions.
If passengers baggage exceeds the free baggage allowance, the relevant excess
baggage charges may be applied. Passengers may also opt to purchase prepaid
baggage in advance of their travel.

The charges will be calculated on zones depending on the distance flown in one single itinerary as below:-
