24-Hour Risk-Free Cancellation

Applies to bookings made directly with Air India.

Full refund if canceled within 24 hours of booking and departure is at least seven days away.

Cancellation Charges

Domestic Flights:

Economy: ₹4,000 if canceled more than 72 hours before departure; ₹3,500 if within 72 hours.

Premium Economy: ₹2,500 if canceled more than 72 hours before departure; ₹2,500 if within 72 hours.

Business: Free if canceled more than 48 hours before departure; ₹2,500 if within 48 hours.

First Class: Free if canceled more than 24 hours before departure; ₹2,500 if within 24 hours.

International Flights:

Economy: ₹6,000 if canceled more than 96 hours before departure; ₹7,500 if within 96 hours.

Premium Economy: ₹5,000 if canceled more than 96 hours before departure; ₹6,500 if within 96 hours.

Business: ₹4,000 if canceled more than 96 hours before departure; ₹5,500 if within 96 hours.

First Class: ₹3,000 if canceled more than 96 hours before departure; ₹4,500 if within 96 hours.

Refund Process

Online bookings can be canceled via "Manage Booking" on Air India's website.

Offline bookings must be canceled at the respective Air India office.

For third-party bookings, contact the travel agent.

Refund Processing Time

Credit card payments: Refunds processed within seven business days.

Cash or check payments: Refunds processed within 20 business days.

No-Show Policy

If you miss your flight without prior cancellation, it's considered a 'no-show.'

A two-hour window post-departure allows for cancellation or modification; beyond this, refunds may not be available.

Special Considerations

COVID-19 positive passengers and their family members may be eligible for a free flight change or refund with no cancellation fee.
