If you have lost an item on a Wizz Air flight or at the airport, Wizz Air’s Lost
& Found service can assist you in recovering it.
The process depends on where the item was lost:
Lost Items on Board
If you left an item on the aircraft, contact the Lost & Found office at the
arrival airport as soon as possible.
Wizz Air does not handle lost items directly but relies on the airport's Lost &
Found department.
Provide details such as flight number, seat number, date of travel, and item
description to help locate your lost belongings.
Lost Luggage
If your checked baggage is missing upon arrival, report it immediately at the
airline’s baggage service counter at the airport.
A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be issued, which is required for
tracking your luggage.
You can check the status of your delayed baggage through WorldTracer, a global
baggage tracking system.
Damaged or Delayed Baggage
If your luggage is damaged or delayed, file a report at the airport and submit a
claim within:
- 7 days for damaged baggage.
- 21 days for delayed baggage.
Contacting Lost & Found
Since Wizz Air does not have a centralized Lost & Found service, all inquiries
must be made through the arrival airport’s Lost & Found office.
Contact details for airport Lost & Found offices are available on each airport’s
official website.
It’s recommended to act quickly and contact the airline or airport Lost & Found
as soon as possible to increase the likelihood of recovering your belongings.
For further information on lost items, please contact Wizz Air directly at +36 1 777 9300 / 690 900 555 (Hungary Only).
