Air Cairo Lost & Found

Passengers who lose personal belongings during an Air Cairo journey should
report the incident as soon as possible to improve the chances of recovering the
item.
The handling procedure depends on whether the property was left onboard the
aircraft, within the airport terminal, or involves checked baggage.
Items Left on Board
Personal belongings discovered inside the aircraft after passengers disembark
are collected by the cabin crew during post-flight inspections. The items are
transferred to the airline's ground handling representative at the arrival
airport, where they are recorded and stored according to local handling
procedures.
Items Lost Inside the Airport
Articles misplaced in check-in halls, security screening areas, departure
lounges, immigration zones, boarding gates, baggage reclaim halls, or public
areas are managed by the airport authority or its designated lost property
office rather than Air Cairo. Passengers should contact the airport where the
item was last seen for assistance.
Missing or Delayed Checked Baggage
Passengers whose checked baggage fails to arrive at the destination must report
the issue before leaving the baggage reclaim area. Airline representatives will
prepare a Property Irregularity Report (PIR), which serves as the official
record for tracing delayed, damaged, or missing baggage.
Reporting Requirements
Passengers should provide their baggage claim tag, boarding pass, flight number,
travel itinerary, passport or identification, and a detailed description of the
missing property. Photographs of the baggage, if available, may assist the
tracing process.
Damaged Baggage
Any damage to checked baggage should be reported immediately upon arrival.
Airline staff will inspect the baggage and determine whether repair,
replacement, or compensation procedures apply under the relevant conditions of
carriage.
Collection of Recovered Property
Recovered items may be collected after ownership has been verified. Valid
identification and supporting travel documents are required before personal
belongings are released. Storage periods and collection arrangements depend on
the airport handling agent and local regulations.
