LATAM Express Unaccompanied Minors Policy

LATAM Express offers an Unaccompanied Minors (UM) service for children between 5 and 11 years of age who are traveling alone.

Here is some information about their UM policy:

Booking: The UM service must be requested at the time of booking the child's ticket. The service is not available for children under 5 years of age.

Fee: There is a fee for the UM service, which varies depending on the destination and route. The fee must be paid at the time of booking.

Escort: The child will be escorted by a LATAM Express staff member throughout their journey, including during check-in, boarding, and disembarkation. The staff member will remain with the child until they are collected by the designated adult at the destination airport.

Documentation: The child must have all necessary travel documentation, including a passport (if required), visa (if required), and any necessary health certificates.

Unaccompanied Minors Form: A parent or legal guardian must complete and sign an Unaccompanied Minors Form at the airport check-in counter. The form includes information about the child's travel itinerary, the designated adult who will collect the child at the destination airport, and any special instructions or requirements for the child's care.

Special Assistance: LATAM Express will provide special assistance to children with special needs, including medical conditions or disabilities, as long as this is disclosed at the time of booking.

It is important to note that the UM service is subject to availability and certain restrictions may apply depending on the route and destination. Therefore, it is recommended to contact LATAM Express customer service for more information and to make arrangements for the UM service when booking the child's ticket.
