Vancouver Island Air Unaccompanied Minors Policy
Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be Unaccompanied Minors. If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an unaccompanied minor, be sure to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or her safety.
 
             Children below the ages of 12 are accepted for boarding when accompanied on 
the same flights and in the same compartment by a passenger at least 12 years of 
age.
Children between the ages of eight (8) and eleven (11) years inclusive will be 
carried as unaccompanied minors providing that the child is brought to airport 
by his / her parent or responsible adult with the written information showing 
the name and address of responsible adult meeting the child at destination 
airport and the agent will verified information prior to releasing the custody 
of the unaccompanied child to the responsible adult at the destination airport.
Children under the age of 8 years will not allowed to boarding unaccompanied.
