Northwestern Air Baggage Allowance
Transport Canada regulations state that carry-on baggage must not exceed the carrier’s maximum weight and dimensions. You will be issued a carry-on baggage tag at the check-in counter.

Any bag that arrives at the gate without a carry-on baggage tag will be sized
and weighed; your bag may not make it on your flight if aircraft weight
guidelines are exceeded. To ensure that your check-in experience is as fast as
possible please refer to Northwestern Air carry-on baggage allowance below.
Carry-on Baggage
Maximum dimensions for carry-on baggage is 9 In x 11 in x 14 in (23 cm x 28 cm x
35 cm) and the maximum weigh is 13 lbs (5.9kg).
All carry-on items must:
- fit in the sizing device at check-in and at the gate.
- be light enough for you to carry onboard the aircraft without assistance.
Excess Baggage
You are allowed a maximum weight of 40 pounds for your checked baggage.
If your baggage exceeds the maximum weight you will be charged an excess baggage
fee of $2.00/lb for each pound over the maximum weight of 40 pounds for checked
baggage.
Checked baggage total weight will be limited to 120 pounds. If your checked
baggage weighs more than 120 pounds it will handled as cargo and charged
according to cargo rates.
There is no guarantee that excess baggage or cargo will travel on the same
flight due to weight/space limitations. Excess baggage and cargo may be sent on
a later flight.
