Air Botswana Unaccompanied Minors Policy
Air Botswana provides special services for unaccompanied minors to ensure their safe and comfortable journey:
Eligibility

The unaccompanied minors (UM) service is mandatory for children aged 5 to 11
years traveling alone.
•
Children under 5 years must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult
over 18 years.
•
For young travelers aged 12 to 15 years, the UM service is optional but can
be requested.
Booking Process
The UM service must be booked in advance through Air Botswana's reservations
office or travel agents.
Parents or guardians need to complete a consent form and provide full details of
the person dropping off and receiving the child at departure and arrival
airports.
Check-in Requirements
The accompanying adult must check the minor in at the airport and remain until
the flight has departed.
Valid identification and completed consent forms must be presented at check-in.
In-flight Assistance
Cabin crew will ensure the child’s safety and comfort throughout the flight.
Arrival Arrangements
The designated adult receiving the minor must present valid identification at
the arrival airport.
