Passengers traveling with Austrian Airlines can Check-in conveniently with the
check-in options provided as below:
Online / Mobile App Check-in
Online / Mobile App Check-in opens 47 hours before your scheduled departure time for majority of
destinations. Please note that the Web Check-in for myAustrian Holidays flights
opens 24 hours before your scheduled departure time.
By using Web Check-in, the seating plan shows all occupied and available seats
on your flight at one glance. You just need to select your desired seat by
clicking directly on the map. The seat selection is totally free of charge. You
also have the opportunity to add your travel companions. You can use 'advanced
seat reservation' for a specific seat category.
To customise your travel experience the Austrian web check-in also offers the
possibility to purchase a variety of additional services like upgrades to
Business Class, lounge access or extra legroom seats on long and medium-haul
flights.
The boarding pass can be easily printed on any printer or sent directly to your
personal mobile device.
If you need to check in any luggage, just present your boarding pass at one of
the baggage drop-off counters located in Terminal 3 at Vienna International
Airport. Otherwise you may proceed directly to your departure gate.
The Austrian web check-in is not available on some codeshare flights.
Self Service Check-in Kiosk
Passengers can use self service kiosks to check-in and print your boarding pass
at the Airport. All you need is your 6-character booking reference or any form
of identification (e.g. credit/debit card or passport). The kiosks offer
flexibility with rebookings and waitlists. You may select adjacent seats for up
to 3 passengers travelling together.
After receiving your boarding pass at the check-in kiosk you may walk straight
through security.
Airport Counter Check-in
A specially marked check-in area will ensure the Business Class guests a fast
and convenient check-in process. The Economy Class guests may use the designated
"baggage drop-off" counters after collecting the boarding pass from a check-in
kiosks. In any case the ground personnel will be pleased to assist you.
Vienna City Check-in
Located in the heart of Vienna the City Terminal offers an excellent access
point to the entire city. The City Airport Train takes you in just 16 minutes
nonstop to Vienna Airport or back.
In combination with a ticket for the City Airport Train Austrian Airlines
passengers can check-in directly at Austrian Airlines counters in the Vienna
City Check-in Terminal and even drop off their luggage before taking the CAT to
the airport.
Check-in Deadlines and Fast Lane Info
Please observe the check-in times at your airport for flights operated by
Austrian. Until this deadline you must be holding a boarding pass, even if you
have already checked-in (by internet, sms or mobile check-in or at the check-in
machines) and you must have checked-in your baggage. Please be aware that
check-in times may differ if your flight is operated by a codeshare partner.
Check-in deadline is 30 minutes to 60 minutes depending on your flight region.
