Link Airways Children Flying Alone Policy

Link Airways has offer services to assist your family with the travel needs of unaccompanied minors. However, in order to provide the best possible service to your family and child/children, Link Airways require advance notice of your needs before your booking can be confirmed.

Link Airways Children Flying Alone Policy

Children under 5 years of age cannot travel as unaccompanied minors and therefore must be accompanied by a person 15 years or over who is an immediate family member or who has written permission from the child’s parent, guardian or responsible adult (carer).

Children between 5 years and 11 years of age can be booked as unaccompanied minors – and this must be done over the phone with Link Airways on 1300 851 269 and the Unaccompanied Minor Form completed.

Children aged between 12 and 15 years can travel as normal Passengers or as unaccompanied minors. If you want your child to travel as an unaccompanied minor, this must be done over the phone with Link Airways on 1300 851 269 and the Unaccompanied Minor Form completed. If no request is made, no special arrangements will apply.

Please download the Unaccompanied Minor Form from Link Airways website and submitting it to reservations@linkairways.com.

In order to meet the cost of providing additional services and care to unaccompanied minors, Link Airways charge an Unaccompanied Minor Fee per Passenger, per booking.

Link Airways suggest you arrive at the airport least 75 minutes prior to your child’s scheduled departure time. Please ensure that you present to the check in counter no later than 60 minutes prior to your child’s scheduled departure time so as to ensure adequate time for you and your child to comfortably complete your child’s check-in procedures. Also please remember to bring a signed hard copy of the Unaccompanied Minor Form.
